  OK, bit late to this party, but I picked up PES 2009 for the PC the other day fairly cheaply. Great game and all that, but can anyone here recommend a good update patch? Preferably something with the Championship in it. I'm currently using the latest Smoke patch (1.6.1), but I'm finding it a bit buggy in places (it crashes the game all the time), and some of the fonts used on screen are a bit nasty. Is there something out there better? Thanks all.

  Hate bumpage, but hoping to catch the weekend Eurogamer audience! Can anyone help? Fantastic game this. In spite of last years hiccup PES is still the better football game for me, and version 2009 underlines that nicely. Just need a patch.

  Yeah, 'course! I found *loads* of different patches. But rather than installing them all and messing about I thought it prudent to ask the EG experts for a recommendation.
